Which tier fits

Not sure which package is right for your board?

Most boards land in Standard or Premium. The right tier depends less on budget than on what you need the evaluation to produce.

Choose Basic if

You're starting structured.

You've never run a platform-based evaluation, and you want to move beyond a spreadsheet survey without yet committing to qualitative depth.

Typical fit: private boards, smaller NGOs, single-entity organisations under 50 employees.
Choose Standard if

You report externally.

You publish an integrated or sustainability report, and you need a quantified evaluation cycle with King V principle mapping and a credible board presentation.

Typical fit: JSE-listed mid-caps, mid-sized SOEs, regulated financial services, serious private boards.
Choose Premium if

King V scrutiny applies.

You face a public Disclosure Framework, a regulator, or a stakeholder base that will read your governance disclosures. You need outputs that survive scrutiny.

Typical fit: JSE Top 100, pension funds, large SOEs, banks & insurers, mining majors.
Choose Enterprise if

You're a group, not a board.

You govern multiple entities, subsidiaries or funds, and you need consistency, longitudinal data and group-level oversight across all of them.

Typical fit: JSE Top 40 holding groups, multi-fund pension administrators, state-owned groups.

FAQs

Pricing & packages - questions we hear most.

Board evaluation pricing depends on board size, committee structure, business units in scope, depth of qualitative work, and the regulatory context in your jurisdiction - and the gap between a 6-director private board and a JSE Top 40 group is substantial. A public price list either over-charges smaller boards or under-prices serious ones. A 15-minute scoping conversation gets you a fixed, transparent quote.
A business unit is a discrete governance entity that requires its own evaluation cycle - typically the main board, a committee, a subsidiary board, or a pension fund. Most single-entity organisations need 2–4 business units. Groups typically need 6+.
Yes. The most common move is Basic → Standard mid-year, when a board realises it wants quantitative scoring or a King V mapping output for its integrated report. Standard → Premium is also common when qualitative depth becomes the priority.
Yes - multi-year retainers (typically 3 years) carry meaningful pricing benefits and unlock longitudinal benchmarking. The Enterprise tier is structured as a multi-year retainer by default.
No. BoardEvaluator™ can be run platform-only, with no advisory support - though this is uncommon. Most clients value the qualitative depth and disclosure-ready outputs that come from advisor involvement, which is why Standard and above include senior advisor time as a default.
A focused 90-day programme covering scoping, foundational gap closure, evaluation cycle setup, execution and disclosure outputs. Delivered end-to-end on BoardEvaluator™ with senior Celagenix advisors leading the qualitative and disclosure work. See the King V page for the full schedule, or review how the platform works.
Single-cycle engagements: 50% on contract signature, 50% on board presentation. Multi-year retainers: annual or quarterly billing, structured per engagement. We accept ZAR, BWP, NAD, USD, EUR and GBP.
Director additions during a live cycle are accommodated without scope-change pricing for up to 2 directors per business unit. Larger structural changes (additional committees, new subsidiary boards) are quoted as scope extensions.
Yes. Registered non-profits, public-benefit organisations and accredited NGOs receive structured pricing concessions on Basic and Standard tiers. Raise this during scoping.
Operational in 17 countries. King V is the headline mapping; we also support OECD Principles, UK Corporate Governance Code, ASX Principles, Mauritius National Code, and several other regional frameworks.
